The photos both shows a Glemham gate with a straight side panel. This is the most economic option for a tongue and groove pedestrian gate and side panel.
The first photo shows a Glemham gate teamed up with a side panel, all in Douglas Fir. A central Douglas fir post has been used
to hang the gate with a slotted concrete post on the other side of the side panel. Douglas Fir is no longer available and
has been replaced with Larch a timber with similar properties and is perfect for staining and painting or leaving to weather naturally.
The second and third photos show the same style of gate, from the front and back but in Scandinavian redwood. The opening space here was tight and so using a larger gate was not an option. Although very popular due to cost, this timber requires more on going treatment over the years.
