Select 70mm frame thickness if you are looking to match the frame size with larger pairs of gates, otherwise a 50mm frame thickness is perfectly fine.
Sapele, Iroko and seasoned European Oak are extremely durable hardwood timbers with excellent longevity. Seasoned Oak has good stability and character and is more consistent in colour than Iroko which can have variations in colour but has exceptional stability. Both Iroko and Oak timbers will naturally weather down over a period of time to a silver grey colour or can be oiled. Sapele can be oiled, stained or painted.
