Price on Application.
Depending on availability at any one time we use African Iroko or Tatajuba which is Brazilian Iroko.
Solid Iroko gate posts are extremely durable, long and lasting.Planed finish with Stone head (Four way weather) top as standard, but also available with round.
Iroko hardwood is a very long lasting and extremely durable timber that does not require any treatment, and
is a very durable classification timber giving good longevity and stability.
Iroko timbers are partly inconsistent in colour due to the species type this can been seen here and on the various Iroko gates throughout our site, however all timbers will naturally weather down
evenly over a short period of time to a silver grey colour. Pigmented oils and wood stains can be applied prior to installation
to prevent unsightly staining due to rainwater, although this is for cosmetic purposes only, but it may emphasise the
inconsistency of colour irregularity subject to the application used.
We recommend that advice is taken for paint applications on Iroko hardwood products, as they need to be de-greased due
to the natural tannins within the timber
