1.830m, with either approx.50mm or 75mm between the pales, either 2 or 3 lines of wire, and in
rolls 5m or 10m in length.

How?Cleft Chestnut Pale fencing is a traditional product, using the
natural quality of a wood that has been grown in this country.
It is made from chestnut poles that are
cleaved by hand into pales. The skilled use of the chestnut cleaver that
splits with the grain gives the maximum strength and durability. The
process of wiring the pales together into continuous lengths is then
done mechanically.
Stakes which are made from Chestnut are at least 14 years
old for maximum heart wood and tannin content so as to further increase
their durability.
