The gates shown here are in untreated Douglas Fir, this timber is no longer available. However Larch has very similar properties with a lack of knots and beautiful grain and although a softwood it is particular dense and especially hard and durable with a lack of movement.
Unlike other softwoods it does not require treatment but if you are thinking of painting your gate this is the best option to go for as you will achieve the best finish.
As the pair of gates are going to be automated the customer teamed them with a co-ordinating Hadleigh pedestrian gate for easy access.
The curved shape can be adjusted to suit you, additional costs will be incurred.
